Beauty for Ashes

Chapter (1)

She looked out into the darkness and thought she saw a shadow move. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness she saw an outline of a tall man standing by the tree she use to climb as a little girl. The closer the man got to the house the more afraid she become, her heart started to beat faster and faster as he got closer to the door. All of a sudden she heard a loud knock at the door. She immediately grabed the gun that was right by the night stand. The self-defense training she got kicked in and a clamness calm over her as she made her way down the hallway. Beads of sweat slide down the middle of her back as she made her way into the living room. All of sudden the door blew open with a rush of wind and rain. She jumped back and started to shoot with the precison of a sharp shooter. He laughed at her as he dodged, bullet after bullet. One mintue he was there the next mintute he was  gone just to reappear in another part of the living room. When she finally ran out bullets she grabed the butcher knife that was on the table, But he just laughed and disapeared again, but instead of appearing again. She heard him stay, Are you done trying to kill me? You can not kill me because I am an angel named Isaiah sent by the Lord to watch over you. She look at him like he was crazy. Yeah right she said, That was done in the old testment days! He look at her and laughed again! Don't you know there is nothing to hard for God? She look at hime in disbielf  and said prove that the Lord sent you to me. Isaiah looked at her and said in her long lost great-grandmother voice. " I have been watching over you from heaven and I am proud of the way you have rebulidet your life and turned your life back to the Lord. Kay started to cry as she listened to tthe angel say, "I love you and you will see me again one day. Remember the Life lessons I taught you about being a loving mother to your children. Your first test in life is your family. I love you my child and you will see me again in Heaven and one day. Trouble don't last always.
